An update from SERVPRO of Burbank

3/27/2020 (Permalink)

Dear Valued Customer,

Due to the urgent nature of our business SERVPRO will continue to serve our customers at this time to the best of our ability.  While restoring your property is important to us our top priority is the health and safety of our customers and our staff. We are taking additional precautions on our end to limit exposure for both you and our technicians that require some changes in our usual business practices.

  • The CDC encourages people to maintain a distance of approximately 6 feet.  Technicians have been advised to avoid shaking hands (or making any physical contact) and we ask customers to stay clear of the work area as much as possible.
  • Lock boxes can be provided for customers who would prefer to avoid contact or who can not be home to provide us access.
  • Technicians will wear a clean pair of gloves at each job
  • Equipment will be disinfected before and after each job
  • Customers will be given the option of signing necessary paperwork via Doc-u-Sign, email or hard copy rather than utilizing a tablet or iPad
  • Job site visits will be limited to essential services.  While we typically monitor the drying equipment every day or two, we may allow longer periods between visits to avoid unnecessary contact.  It is imperative that you keep the equipment running at all times and notify us of any issues.
  • We are NOT currently asking our technicians to wear masks. The CDC recommends wearing a mask if you are sick or caring for someone who is sick and notes that masks are in short supply and should be saved for caregivers.
  • While we typically like to update our customers in person on the job status we are encouraging telephone and email communication at this time to avoid unnecessary contact.  Please advise our office staff on your preferred method of communication.
  • We may experience issues with limited personnel and resources at this time so our focus will be on mitigation to stop potential further damages.
