A homeowner in Westlake Village, CA called out SERVPRO of Burbank when they found several rooms of their home soaked as the result of a leak in their washing machine. In the laundry room shown, the leak damaged the tile floors and drywall wall. SERVPRO of Burbank set up drying equipment overnight so as to salvage as much of the materials as possible. After moving the appliances in the room, SERVPRO of Burbank removed the equipment as we found the tile floors were not making sufficient drying progress. We removed the damaged tile flooring and the mortar bed underneath and the baseboards. SERVPRO of Burbank HEPA vacuumed the area and applied antimicrobial solution to the remaining materials. We set up a dehumidifier overnight to dry the sub floor and upon return found that the equipment had fully dried the area. The homeowner was thrilled at how quickly SERVPRO of Burbank was able to complete the work and get their home in working order.
